Getting a Copy of Your Credit Report
A credit report is a statement that has information about your credit activity and current credit situation such as loan paying history and the status of your credit accounts.
There are three major credit bureaus that are primarily used when determining creditworthiness. These include; Trans Union, Equifax, and Experian. You can request a free copy of your credit report from each of these three nationwide credit reporting companies once every 12 months. You will be required to provide your name, address, social security number, and date of birth to receive your copy.
